These skates are great for me since I'm a beginner, and the price is pretty decent. I would recommend these to any other beginners who don't want to spend too much, but still want a good pair of skates.

The Fattys are very flexible but the soul and neg plate are quite small and the balance feels strange compared to most other aggressive skates that ive tried. over all they are a good affordably priced skate.

I love, love, love these skates, super lightweight, much lighter than my Razor Genesys 7.4's. Only thing I don't like is the fact that the plastic strap is so short, wish it were longer but other than that great skates for beginners!!

the 2012 fatty pro does have one distinct improvement over its 08 model. the heel strap is much thicker and provides better support at preventing heel lift. The stock buckle however does not stay shut as well as it should but can easily be fixed by drilling out the stock buckle and replacing it with a razors/USD buckle. It does have another downside in that the toe cap is glued on and can not be removed. this means it is better to buy a size that falls closer to the larger side of the scale. ex: i wear an 11.5 k2 natural, size 12 bing airs, and a size 11 varsity. i have to wear a 12 in my 08 fatty pros with have the design. the skate is slightly raised heel but not quite enough to skate without an additional heel pad much like the razor genesis or sl models. sadly
