Xsjado 2.0 vs Farewell, September 17, 2017 By Byron (Groton, CT)(Verified)
It's sad we are losing this but xsjado improved on an already revolutionary design.
This review is NOT all encompassing, but will provide an opinion on hardware improvements in xsjados masterpiece:
The Farewell.
Equal: Higher & Lower Cuff pieces, velcro straps, and soul plates are of the same quality.
Pros: Cuff bolts, Ankle pad, and Cuff pads, and buckle receiver are a MASSIVE improvement. The ankle pads lower that is behind the ankle buckle is a high quality pleather material fits comfy on the footwrap while the other padding is similiar to a thicker fat boy liner. The buckle receiver is more protected, better designed and does not damage the buckle when ratcheted down. No more cheap powder coat paint that flakes at the first sign of abuse. The cuff bolt is wide and bulbous and the star shaped hex has been abondoned.
Cons (Maybe a pro to your preference): Buckle straps are llloooonnnggg. They extend way past the body in the boot and flop about in the wind. A pro to this is that it makes it much easier to thread your ankle pad to ratchet in, but I like the tight to boot look that the normal 2.0s provide.
