Everyone has their preference, but 57mm to 60mm are the most common wheel sizes and will be compatible most aggressive skate frames. The smallest wheels around 42mm to 49mm are known as anti-rockers which are used strictly as middle wheels on skate setups. Anti-rockers help make grinding ledges and curbs easier by reducing wheel bite by the center frame groove where you slide. However, if you'd prefer a smoother ride over easier grinds. Then having all 8 wheels the same size will give you a better rolling experience.
