Great skates, wide souls, skating them for a year, still great!

Starting with the boot, they are durable and a great fit on your feet. The frames are unbelievable featherlite 2 frames for absolute control and have great durability in general. The liners feel like clouds on your feet to say the least. Overall great pair of skates that are well worth it!

I've not messed around on a pair of 'blades since I was in middleschool, but really felt like getting a pair of aggressive skates as an alternative way to get to/from work; there just happens to be some great parks in-between. Coming from a skateboard background, with a bit of ice skating thrown in, I felt pretty confident picking these up for my first pair.

First off these skates are gorgeous, even more so than the pictures might hint at. The white is soft, while the "black" mentioned in the description is really a darker grey except on the boot liner; the skate looks better because of this.

The liner is comfy without being obnoxiously large, and the tongue pops forward a reasonable amount to make putting them on easier; they seem really secure when properly laced and buckled, and feel surprisingly natural on your feet.

Then there's the fact that these come in size 10.5 - it's fucking awesome. Most of my daily wear boots are either 10.5w or 11's so being able to have a pair of skates in 10.5 (especially since Razor is known for having a bit wider boot than most) was really sealed the deal.

The bearings and wheels will suit any beginner just fine, though I plan to upgrade both once I break them in properly; initial runs on my homes wood floors show a surprisingly smooth and fast ride, especially for ABEC 5's.

Be prepared though, as these skates are HEAVY. Obviously this is my first pair, but they are definitely solid (somewhere around 5lbs + per skate if I had to guess). Not really too big a deal to some, but if you're looking for a super light then obviously look elsewhere/build a custom.

I was considering buying these from AggressiveMall, but RW absolutely kills their shipping costs (not to mention having the new customer promotional codes); definitely happy I bought from them.

All in all these seem pretty badass skates, and if you look elsewhere online for a great affordable pre-built you'll find countless references for the Genesys line; the 9.1's are no exception.

A 5 star taking into account their price range and features, as adding new bearings/wheels is really a personal preference/part of the joys of learning to skate.
