I must say, I was skeptical at the price tag. I recently got back into rolling after a 15 year hiatus and started with the 908's. I needed another boot to set up so I can have a separate boot for park and street (Metal cores and bullet profiles for park) and I really like supporting Julio, especially blowing every other company's royalty amount away (Most companies are doing $2-$6 while THEM is doing $30!).
The only model left was the Beer, and after some hesitation, I bought them.
I must say I am so glad I did! The 909 is unbelievably good! It is a large step up from the already good 908. The cuff allows a upper or lower rocker on both the inside and outer bolt. This has allowed me to better place the rigidity of the plastic, it has made a night and day difference in my royale and farv's.
The upper lace eyelets allow for the heel slip lacing system (Google the shit, it is a huge help) by having the upper last two raised well above the rest.
The shape and design are dialed in even more making a phenomenal skate even better.
Lastly the liners are the best I have used, on par or above the epic Jug liners that set the standard in the industry (IMO) years ago. They are solo lacing and they are so damn comfortable I wish I could wear them in my shoes!
Sorry this was so long but I had to leave it, these are amazing skates and if you are on the fence, BUY THEM!!!!!

PS: I recommend buying and using Locktite if you choose to manipulate the rockered cuff system. Otherwise you MIGHT have the bolts self-loosen, I have had this happen but after I added the LT it has been
