Great underrated skate., February 23, 2023  By Ty (Midland, MI)
This Razors shift skate is incredible. Before I bought my Razor Shifts I was lucky enough to try every single skate out there in a shop in Europe on vacation. For my style of skating and my body build 6'3'' 192 lbs and 36 years old there is simply nothing better. I have been skating since 1997 and these bar none are a world away from any skate I have ever seen for a tall person. These are a "hard boot" that flexes like a tennis shoe. You can literally push on the boot with your thumb and flex the boot. They are light, not Aeon light, but a close second. But for me the flex is unlike any other skate on the market before or since aside from maybe the Remz but we all know their shortcomings. The shift is a perfect mix. All the other skates to me with the exception of say the old xsadows are too stiff and that was always a problem with skates in my opinion for my height. Short people it doesn't matter but for us tall people there is a huge difference. But for flex and yet extremely supportive and nothing slides like a razor anyways we all know that and have known that forever. These are the best value on the market bar none. The only thing that I am not so sure about is riding flat and the flt4 frame. I come from the freestyle anti rocker time frame in skating so I can't vouch for that and am still deciding. But Shift boot with some freestyle frames or anti rocker and you have yourself one hell of a street skate. But I also believe that skating is going the opposite direction. With them skates and carbons and all the other hard boots having little to no flex. I don't understand that direction that skating is headed. I want something as fluid as I am in my movements. Give when I need to and be rigid when the time calls for it. The Razors Shift does that with class.
