Major improvements, still half size small, November 14, 2019 By Damon (Murray, UT)(Verified)
I built these on the skate builder with oysi frames. The skates are great. I’m coming from USD carbons so there is definitely a major weight difference, these are pretty heavy. The carbons were also a bit more tight on my ankle, this is persons preference. I prefer the looser ankle now. The skate is about a half size small, I’m a 12 US & the 13 fits perfectly. I’ve heard otherwise for true for the smaller you go but be careful. Otherwise, they’re resilient and lock on better than any skate I’ve tried before. The soul plate has a little hook on the heel which makes licking on to coping extremely satisfying. The liner is much nicer than the old OS liners. The cuff is a bit odd, cutting off the back piece into a V-cut definitely gives you more flexibility which fixes everything. Overall an amazing skate, definitely would get another set.
Great skates. A few important chages, October 27, 2019 By Chris (Dmv, VA)
I've ridden so many different models of remz, starting all the way back with the original. I've always ridden my remz one way. Strap and laces only, no cuff.
The new strap is perfect for that kind of setup! Lots of support when riding without a cuff. There are no buckles on these at all out of the box nor included.
The new lacing system on the liner really helps keep them tight.
New soul plates slide great, I cant tell the difference from the old one piece plates. Lots of soul and negative space.
Liner isnt as good at the haffey vcut's in my opinion but are still pretty comfy.
