Good showcase of the team's skating ability, but in my opinion, also an example of why blading lost popularity. This DVD reminds me of the CKY videos: a skate video that is also loaded with a bunch of twenty-somethings doing random stuff that has nothing to do with skating; but at least their friends will get a laugh out of it.
This really isn't suitable for up-and-coming younger skaters to watch, and if you aren't producing material that is grooming the next generation of your sport, then why bother making a video for distribution? Not to sound like the corporate side of sports is all that matters, but for a sport to survive it needs a healthy equipment market, media coverage and pro athletes that are looked up to. Skateboarding is alive and well thanks to the X-Games and skaters that parents see as being role models for their kids. If this DVD represents the future of blading, then we can forget about any stateside media coverage of our sport, resign to never again seeing an event series like NISS or ASA, and kiss another couple skate manufacturers goodbye.
Clean it up, boys. You represent more than just yourselves and your individuality, whether you like it or not.
